Hand made "Antique" Style Toys

This Mid-Century Santa is filling stockings with joy, including paper dolls and a baby doll, dressed in a feedsack print style nightie and bonnet. His bag is spilling over with gifts, while the Children's pet dog, Blackie has "discovered" the candy canes! On the mantle, standing beside a wedding picture of MY grandparents, is a silver tray with gingerbread man cookies, and a glass of milk for Santa. Santa is holding a letter written by little Anthony in one hand and a boat in the other. The mantle clock is ticking off the minutes, reminding Santa that he must hurry on his way. In Santa's bag are 2 checkerboards, a ball and bat, train engine, flag, and 2 wrapped presents, and spilling over are a Winnie The Pooh book and a teddy bear, and a box of Animal Crackers, something I ALWAYS looked forward to on Christmas morning, as a child of the 50's!

I built the mantle after being inspired by the andirons and log bucket and mantle clock that I found on vacation this past summer.

This is a very large piece, the base is 20" x 20"

Santa is 36" tall, and the mirror is removable for shipping.

This is a one of a kind piece.
