Santa is hard at work with only a few days left, putting the finishing touches on a few dolls for some lucky little girls. I built the bench and made five of the seven dolls, and the "Sewing Book" is a miniature version of a Mary Francis Sewing Book from 1913 (one of my many antique children's collectables). Also included are a basket full of "bolts of fabric", a miniature version of an "embroidery set" from the 1930's, and a bag of stuffing. On top of the bench are a kerosene lantern, a basket of doll making supplies (hair, yarn, and lace), scissors, spools of thread, a measuring tape, and a "make-do pin cushion".
